We all know that projects (including sales projects that we call in our system Deals) are all about communication. Almost all project management tools let you invite your customers or partners so they can be a part of the team, but very few give you branded workspace where your customer can see "The Status".
Below you'll find short description of how to create such a project status workspace, where your customer can share files, tasks and feedback with you.
1. Create a project space and assign tasks to each member of the project
2. Invite your customer to the workspace
3. He or She will be placed in very professionally looking shared workspace with the status bar. Your customer will see only items explicitly marked as "shared". In this case all the tasks are internal, so he will see only status bar (how many of them were completed).
4. Each time you complete a task, customer can see that in his workspace. Each time you upload a mockup, ask a question or post a comment - your customer will get a notification.
5. Bonus - each update can be send as an email message. Your customer can easily answer via email and we automatically attach this email to the conversation thread.

All of these make sense. My co-workers and I work with a virtual office setup, so I'm familiar with this.
